ยังมีข้อมูลจาก Euromonitor International บริษัทผู้วิจัยตลาดอาหารโลก ซึ่งประเมินว่าเมื่อปี 2560 ที่ผ่านมา เหล่าผู้ประกอบการธุรกิจ Street Food ในไทย สร้างยอดขายได้สูงถึง 271,355 ล้านบาท Street Food จึงไม่เพียงแต่จะสร้างรายได้มหึมาให้กับประเทศ แต่ยังเป็นเสน่ห์ที่ดึงดูดนักท่องเที่ยว และทำให้กรุงเทพฯ มีชีวิตชีวายิ่งขึ้นอีก

The reason why Street Food in Thailand has become popular

In fact, Street Food is spread out in communities throughout Thailand in districts like Chiang Mai Phuket, and especially Bangkok ,the capital city which crowded with tourists. In addition to the deliciousness that everybody knows well, Thai food also has a variety of flavours: sour, sweet, salty and spicy., which

make all foodies enjoy the different flavors for sure.

The another important reason is " Price" which is considered worth the amount of food and not too expensive because Street Food has a relatively low production cost. It only takes a few pieces of equipment to open a shop together with the hurried lifestyle of people in the capital which has the limited of time.In addition, the expenses may be less than cooking by themselves. Street food, therefore, responds to the simple lifestyle of Thai people and is very popular among tourists.

Chinatown

It is one of the oldest Chinese communities in Bangkok. Almost every alley is filled with roadside restaurants. Most of the food is Thai food and authentic dishes typical of mainland China. This is a well-known source of street food. Althought foodies and foreign tourists have to wait for long line of queues, they are willing to wait. The sound of tapping the pan and wielding the spatula is also the charm of this place.

Khao San Road

In the old town, around Rattanakosin Island , there is a small road that is another destination for backpackers, that is 'Khao San Road', in addition to being a popular place for tourists flock playing water during the Songkran festival, this is also one of Bangkok's best street food spots. It is crowded with tourists throughout the year and there are street food shops lined up along this road.

Silom-Sathorn

Many people may know Silom-Sathorn in the name of a business center, where a variety of leading companies have settled together intensively. However, this is also Bangkok's best tasting, chilling and shopping place. Many salarymen spend more than half a day here, so street food is easy and convenient for them.
